Ingredients
For the Covering
1 cup - all purpose flour (maida)
1/2 tsp - baking powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp - oil
Water

For the Filling
1 cup - button mushrooms(chopped or sliced)
2 nos - onions (finely chopped)
1 nos - veg maggi cube or any other flavouring cube
1 tbsp - soya sauce
1 tsp - chilli sauce
1 tsp - garam masala
Salt to taste
oil/ghee

Method
1.      For the Covering.
A.    In a bowl, take flour, baking pd, salt, oil and mix well. Then add adequate amount of water to it and knead to form a soft dough. Keep aside for 40-45 mins.

2.      For the Filling.
A.    Now on the gas, put a pan.
B.     Add oil and fry onions till golden brown.
C.     Now add the flavouring cube, garam masala, chilli sauce and stir.
D.    Add the mushrooms and cook till the mushrooms have turned soft (it will take about 10 mins or so, so keep an eye on them).
E.     When they are almost done, add soya sauce and cook for 1 min and remove from heat. Keep aside to cool.

3.      Momos
A.    Keep a steamer to pre heat.
B.     In the mean time, make small balls of the flour dough and roll them into small flat puris/ or thin round wrappers. Put 1 tbsp of the filling  or as much amount as you feel comfortable to fit in the center. Close the puri/wrapper and seal it by applying a dab of water on the sides.
C.     Steam them for 20 mins in the steamer.
D.    You can serve them with Hot Tomato Garlic Sauce.

Note:
1.      While making the puris, in case they seem unmanageable, pat them with some more flour and they should be fine.
2.      A sure way to know whether the momos are done, is when the outer flour covering become transparent.
3.      The dish states best with a spicy sauce. So in case, you do not want to make the Tomato Garlic sauce, try hot chilli sauce.
